HHO Star
Star is now ten years old and 14hh, she has been a frequent visitor to HHO over the years, Star’s story is a little different, she had an owner her cared for her deeply but struggled to manage her medical conditions. Star has both sweet itch and laminitis. She was given to HHO by her owner permanently in 2018 and she began to progress. We have managed to get her medical conditions under control and she has an excellent quality of life. Star will remain a permanent resident at HHO for the duration of her life.
Star’s upkeep costs the charity roughly €300 a month, she needs more regular farrier care than many of the other horses, on these occasions her cost rises. She would love a little help to keep her in the lifestyle she has become accustomed to!

HHO Casper
Casper is a little bit older than everyone else. He arrived at Hungry Horse after being found roaming the streets, dodging in and out of traffic. He arrived with an empty belly and an empty heart. Soon Casper’s character dominated, he enjoyed human company but didn’t fit well to a hectic yard situation, so he moved to the more permanent herd, He also tends to be a little laminitic and needs to be monitored carefully. He is a lovely little man who enjoys life and is curious about everything and everyone.
Maintaining Casper costs the charity about €250 a month. Would you be willing to sponsor just a little of his costs? He’d really love some sponsor families. You can also make a once off donation just by clicking the link below.

HHO Blaze
The mind boggles as to why Blaze still finds himself at HHO! There is no reason why he is a long term pony! He is a perfectly happy and healthy three year old gelding who seems to never catch the eye of the right family. Blaze has a wonderful personality and is full of curiosity and character. He is about 11.2hh and will remain with Hungry Horse Outside until he finds suitable family.
If you are willing to make a monthly donation, Blaze’s monthly costs come in at just over €250, or you can make a once off donation from as little as you’d like, every little helps towards the upkeep of our long-term ponies like Blaze.

HHO Jack
Jack is three years old, he has been with us quite a while now for one reason or another he has never quite been ready to make that move to his family. He was extremely weak and weary when he arrived at Hungry Horse Outside his bones protruded and we spent many a long day and night lifting him when he could not stand. This poor little man had been through so much in his short lift, he stood and watched other foals being born only to die but he is our little fighter and one day we hope he will be ready to go to a family of his own.
If you are willing to make a monthly donation, Jack’s monthly costs come in at just over €250, maybe you can make a contribution towards that or you can make a once off donation from as little as you’d like, every little helps towards the upkeep of our long-term ponies like Jack.

HHO Lizzie
Lizzie is another case of just being unlucky. She is consistently rejected for rehoming and overlooked for another pony. Lizzie found herself at Hungry Horse Outside after we were asked to seize eighteen starving horses from a field, unfortunately Lizzie’s daughter Jenny died from the neglect they had suffered. Lizzie is the last of the herd to find a home and whilst she continues to wait patiently for the perfect family, she would love to have a few sponsors who would help towards her upkeep.
If you are willing to make a monthly donation, Lizzie’s monthly costs come in at just over €300,
