An update on our donkeys from other days as it turns out we have 3 very old ladies in their late twenties early thirties we needed sanctuary for them fast, And big thanks to Sathya Sai Donkey Sanctuary in Sligo for making space straight away.
Look at the ladies being greeted at their new home, it really would melt hearts to see these animals getting all the love they deserve.

What more could you possibly ask for our own little beauties, happy, healthy and ready to move on to their next chapter in life?
To watch them in action now and to recall their stories only a few short months ago, it is difficult to imagine they were once cast aside like rubbish, rejected by their so called owners and left to die. We can’t even describe how wonderful it is to watch them just have fun. The little foals will never know the misery their mothers endured. We’re so in love with them all
So here it is. At the moment we have about 60 Shetlands, small ponies, from 9hh-12hh in size. The re homing applications are sparse for the little ones 
. We’ve been really racking our brains on how to put a plan together to find our little ones new loving homes.
We’ve come up with a possibility, we’d like to train the little ones to improve their chances. We want to help show they can be not just good ponies but great ponies.
We cannot do this alone with so many other horses and ponies in our care, this is something we would have to get some outside help with, we’re appealing for your help. Each pony trained will cost between 300-400 euro. Money we just don’t have. However, we would still like to proceed.
What we’re asking?
For you and a group of your friends to get together and sponsor the training of one pony. For every individual to donate €5 or €10 to help start the next step of their journey.
We’ll of course keep you updated on their training, we need to be proactive, positive and work together to get them all home .

On behalf of the Directors and the Volunteers of Hungry Horse Outside we would like to thank Minister Coveney for taking the time out of his very busy schedule to visit us in Longford. During his visit the Minister announced that he would be offering us €20,000 to continue our work, a very unexpected and much needed surprise.
We would like to thank the Minister and his Colleagues for their appreciation of what we do in Longford, we saw a different side of both the minister and his colleagues yesterday, normal, caring people with a great fondness for animals.
Ruby and Corky tugged on the heartstrings of Ms. McGuinness however it was Possum who is to be rehomed today to an autistic non verbal child really stole her heart.
There were several oohhs and awwhs when our ladies arrived on the riding horses, who we have to saw behaved impeccably as always, loved the attention they were getting and Esther even had a surprise rider on her back one of our local candidates.
We would also like to thank everyone who came over to support from our side, Donnagh McDonnell our vet, Michael King our County Vet, Sue Paling from Sai Sanctuary,Robert Donaghue who lent us his trap for Garfield again!Your ongoing support and believe in what we do has been incredible.
Finally thank you to all our followers who consistently supported our work we hope you will continue following us, our work and our animals through their journey from being rescued or impounded until they day they finally go home.
